NERVE CONDUCTION STUDY (NCS)
Commonly used to evaluate the function of the motor and sensory nerves of the human body. Nerve conduction studies are used mainly for evaluation of paresthesias (numbness, tingling, burning) and/or weakness of the arms and legs. Common disorders diagnosed by nerve conduction studies include:
• Peripheral neuropathy
• Carpal tunnel syndrome
• Ulnar neuropathy
• Tarsal tunnel syndrome
The nerve conduction study consists of the following components:
• Motor NCS
• Sensory NCS
• F-wave study
• H-reflex study
TWO DIMENTIONAL ECHOCARDIOGRAM WITH DOPPLER
This test involves a technician placing an ultrasound probe on various positions of the chest. It provides information about heart muscle function, valves and pressures in the heart.
CAROTID DOPPLER
This test involves the technician placing an ultrasound probe over the great vessels of the head and neck. It provides information on whether there is a narrowing in the carotid or basilar arteries, which supply blood to the brain. Narrowing of these arteries can be a common cause of stroke.
PERIPHERAL VASCULAR DOPPLER ULTRASOUND
This study involves the assessment of the arteries and veins of the arms, legs, or kidneys. It provides information about the presence of narrowing in these arteries (common causes of pain in the legs when walking).
MEDICAL ULTRASONOGRAPHY (SONOGRAPHY)
We are committed to providing the highest standard of diagnostic ultrasound using a fully equipped high-resolution scanner to visualize internal organs, their size, structures and any pathological lesions.
